Thanks to our new map feature, it’s now possible to view places on your Wanderguide on a map. Before we launched this new feature, you could only view your recommendations (restaurants, tourist attractions, museums etc) as a list of items.
Being able to see all the recommendations on an actual map makes planning your trip so much easier. Plus, if you’re using the Wanderguide on the go you can see which places are close to you.
So here’s how it looks:
The first thing you have to do is simply clicking the “view map” button (pictured above). Once you do that, you’ll see a map with all the recommendations on the Wanderguide:
The yellow circles on the map are basically a “cluster” of recommendations that are closely located. The number on them represent how many recommendations you’ll find in each cluster. If you zoom in, those clusters break into individual recommendations:
And when you click the location markers, you see the recommendation and the personal note:
We have two more features that were recently launched. Firstly, Wanderguide creators are now able to write a short bio about themselves that appears whenever someone clicks on their profile picture. You can also see and access all Wanderguides that this person has created:
…and then you’ll see this:
Pretty cool, huh?
The last feature I’m going to tell you about can come in handy when you’re in the process of creating a Wanderguide. What this new feature does is that when you add a recommendation, you can now filter recommendations based on distance. This is how it’s done:
And now you can find tours filtered by distance from your Wanderguide’s destination:
Lastly, we want to thank all of the Wanderguide creators out there for your super helpful feedback! If you have any comments or questions concerning the Wanderguide (how to create it or how to use it), feel free to contact us anytime.
And if you’re in the mood for sharing your travel recommendations, go ahead and create a Wanderguide.
